A massive £25,000 was raised for sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease at a glittering charity ball held by Renfrewshire’s Provost Celia Lawson.
The Provost’s Mistletoe Ball, held at Mar Hall Hotel in Bishopton, was hosted by STV’s Sean Batty.
It saw local representatives and members of the business community dig deep to raise the money for MND Scotland.
The night was hailed a huge success, with guests enjoying entertainment from the MacDonald Brothers and Scotland’s answer to Katherine Jenkins, Nicola Cassels.
Provost Lawson said: “It was a fabulous night from start to finish. Sean was a wonderful host, the entertainment was excellent and best of all the generosity of the guests was outstanding.
“I’m really delighted we’ve managed to raise such a great total for MND Scotland to help the 372 people living in Scotland with this disease.”
